'TOP 40 WINES'
"Smells like dried figs with similar characters echoed on the astringent palate."
"Full crimson-purple; it is the complexity, rather than the power, of this medium-bodied wine that has given it such remarkable wine show success; first there is the range of berry fruit flavours from its 3-variety base; second, the texture is perfect, soft yet not loose or flabby thanks to perfectly judged ripe tannins; finally, expertly used oak. Drink until 2020".
"This 5 STAR RATED WINERY is churning out some of the best wine in Australia that 'dramatically over delivers on price'".
"Deep garnet in color, the 2009 Third Wheel Reserve Cabernet Shiraz Merlot presents aromas of warm black currant cordial, dried oregano and menthol with a touch of cinnamon toast. Medium-bodied with a good amount of mid-palate flesh that-s well supported by a medium level of fine tannins, it finishes with a minty lift".
Third Wheel Reserve Cabernet Shiraz Merlot 2009 displays rich fruit and red berry flavours with oaky characters. It exhibits a full flavoured palate of raspberry, currant and plum with a touch of spice. Its warm tannins leave you with a soft finish.
In the days when horse & cart travelled on cobblestone streets, wine makers would carefully carry their latest vintage in oak barrels. They would often carry a spare Third Wheel to guarantee consistent delivery of their valuable cargo. In the same spirit, Third Wheel Wines guarantee the same consistent delivery of Margaret Rivers' finest premium wines.
