Tasting Notes:

Deep and vibrant garnet red, the bouquet has bright and fresh cassis and violet with typical tobacco leaf and minty herbals. The palate is full bodied with bright flavours of red cherry and cassis complemented by more savoury dark chocolate, dusty tobacco and dried herb with tight, bright acidity and a soft framework of tannin albeit a grainy textured finish.

Technical:

Sourced from premium vineyards located in the iconic McLaren Vale region of South Australia. The fruit was picked over a four-week period, which ensures blending options for more complex finished wine. The individual parcels were fermented in stainless steel open top fermenters, macerated on skins for seven days before being pressed then aged with a mixture of French and American oak. The wines were allowed to spontaneously undergo malolactic fermentation and were kept in individual batches until final blending.
