The colour is deep red with a magenta rim. Intensely aromatic, cool climate Cabernet fills the glass with blackberries, cedar and tobacco leaf. Savoury notes of clove and spice sit in the background, evidence to the use of the highest quality French oak. The palate is sweet and textural; Merlot provides plumpness of fruit and Cabernet, structure and elegance resulting in the finest of tannins. Vibrant flavours of plums, dark cherries and tar mix with sweet vanillin notes and combine with a firm acid backbone and integrated tannin to create a wine elegance and tremendous persistence.
