Tasting Notes:

A pale pink with salmon hues, the Oxford Landing Estates Rosé 2011 displays lifted aromas of cherry berry, fresh satsuma plum and blackberry nip. On the palate the wine is bright, with fresh fruit flavours of cherries, raspberries, fresh plum, blackberry and capsicum. A richly fruited and generous mid palate with a definitive and well structured acid backbone gives this wine amazing purity and clarity.

Technical:

Oxford Landing Estates vineyard was established in 1958 on the banks of the Murray River in South Australia wIth an innovative and colourful history spanning 50 years. Parcels of fruit were selected from blocks on lighter soils with more open canopies where delicate fresh aromatic flavours revealed themselves at low baume. An exceptionally cool vintage with steady rain throughout the growing and ripening season meant that the vines developed robust canopies. Mild weather throughout summer provided optimal ripening conditions. Juices were clarified quickly after pressing and fermented at cool temperatures with aromatic yeast strains before being bottled immediately to retain optimal freshness.
