“Soft and very flavoursome, ‘drink now’ shiraz with lovely sweet fruit/dusty oak complexity. Very Classy Wine” Winestate Magazine:
"Completely in the groove. Curranty fruit, not overdone but flavoursome and satisfying. Modest input from spicy, coffeed oak. Smooth, slightly chubby, gummy tannin that feels good as it tidies up the finish. A good deal of eucalypt-like flavour. Length is not a problem. Nor is a good sense of regional identity. It’s another excellent release." Rated : 92 Points Campbell Mattinson The Wine Front
"The wine has retained fresh colour, with no hint of development. However, the bouquet and palate have started to do so, underlining the likely future of the 2010, even if it's only a year or so down the track. The 2009 wine has delicious plum and black cherry fruit, with superfine tannins providing good mouth-feel and length. Oak is present, but in the background. This will give pleasure whenever it's opened over the next 3 years. 91 points." Drink By: 2014 - James Halliday

Harcourt Valley Vineyards produces some of the biggest & highly flavoured wines you are likely to find. The mature grape vines (planted 1976) provide the basis for their superb handcrafted wines. Using 100% estate grown fruit Quinn Livingstone (second-generation winemaker) is making a number of small batch wines from the property. The vines are hand-tended and minimal fruit handling is used in the wine making process. The winery picked up 71 medals and 6 trophies in 2010 alone - which is pretty big achievement for a winery producing less than 2000 cases per year. This really is boutique wine at its best!
