DESCRIPTION
The 2008 Merlot exhibits aromas of black fruit and violets supported by cedary oak. The wine has soft, ripe and well integrated tannins with a juicy mid-palate and savoury finish. An early drinking style of wine but will cellar for 2 to 3 years. Enjoy with red meats and pizza.
Deep Woods Estate is located in the northern corner of the premium wine growing region of Margaret River in Western Australia, close to the town of Dunsborough and the famed surf at Yallingup. Deep Woods comprises a modern winery, vineyard and cellar door, and with its large spring-fed dam and natural bushland is surely one of Margaret River's most scenic wineries.
The natural bush land and available water are a perfect attraction for the Willy Wagtail, featured on the label which are in abundance throughout the region as well as Deep Woods. These active little birds are often seen playing amongst the vines and perched on the vine posts at Deep Woods.
