DESCRIPTION
Deep crimson with mauve hues. Scents of sweet cassis. Initial flavours of blackberry are followed by firm tannins. The mid palate opens up with dark cherry and oak notes. Briar fruit flavours return for a dry finish.
Two or more years careful cellaring will result in further flavour
development. Released October 2009.
The saying “good wines are made in the vineyard” is probably truer of Cabernet Sauvignon than any other grape variety. Of all the varieties, Cabernet grapes need to be fully ripened in order to produce the range and depth of flavours that this variety is capable of. The 2008 vintage gave us excellent quality fruit and we are very happy with the end result.
