It recently was retired from the show circuit due to the miniscule volumes being produced however Brian Barry's wines have an awards history a mile long. Made by one of Australia's finest winemakers Brian Barry and his son Jud, this wine shows why the Clare Valley produces such a great Shiraz. Brian is regarded as one of Australia's finest winemakers and has amassed over 4000 wine awards over his long career.
Brian has won in excess of 4000 awards, earning his wines both international acclaim, and Iconic Industry Benchmark status. Brian has achieved amazing success in his 65 year winemaking career, including Australia's most prestigious red wine trophy, the Jimmy Watson at Royal Melbourne, and Australia's most prestigious white wine trophy, The Albert Chan Memorial at Royal Sydney. At over 80 years of age, his passion for excellence in wine continues.

This wine was sourced from the unirrigated, low yielding Jud's Hill Clare Valley vineyard. This spectacular vineyard only produces very small yields per acre of fruit and due to this it has produced an intensely flavoured wine that has class all over it.
Juds Hill Shiraz is noted for impeccable balance, powerful flavour yet balanced mouth feel. The wine has been aged in the very finest French Oak Barriques for 12 months. Providing a stunning character of spring jasmine or lavender. This 2008 Juds Hill Shiraz was harvested at optimum timing. Ensuring the grapes are in pristine condition. Resulting in beautiful aromatics and rich, balanced mouth feel.
