Tasting Notes:

Deep, dark red in colour, the nose offers rich blackberry and prune fruit notes supported by subtle vanilla and cedar accents. A full-bodied Shiraz showing plum, black fruit and chocolate characters.

Maturation for 12 months in French and American oak has imparted the subtle nuance of vanilla and a long lingering finish.

Technical:

The grapes for our McLaren Vale Shiraz are sourced from premium vineyards in McLaren Vale. The grapes show unique aromas, flavours and structure that add to the complexity of the wine.

The very warm weather experienced during the ripening season has provided our 2010 McLaren Vale Shiraz with great concentration of colour and flavour. The wine is made in a full-bodied style.
